Position summery:
The Supply Chain Supervisor plans, directs and manages supply chain functions for all foreign and local suppliers within the business unit.  Also manages all suppliers, systems policies and procedures and also controls products’ import and export, cost and pricing of transportation, warehouse and is accountable for inventory management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Over all Supply Chain Planning (demand management), inventory management, lead times to maintain a prime product inventory turn of 4, or more.
  • Communicates with the suppliers to ensure marketing plans and discounts have been properly applied and actively pursues any opportunities for additional discounts.  This also involves tracking of the various discount programs to ensure 100% of eligible units are claimed for.
  • Develops and implements strategies to effectively manage the different aspects of the supply chain, using six sigma methodologies where applicable.
  • Constantly monitors invoices of freight, insurance, and prime products to develop and implement alternate ways to source in order to achieve improved cost, delivery, and cash flow
  • Follows all clearance activities with Logistics to ensure customer expectations are met, inland transportation time & cost minimized and shorten the overall cash to cash cycle of prime products.
  • Ensures 100% of the transactions comply with the company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures 100% of the orders have the required approvals.
  • Ensures 100% of sales record cards are sent within 6 days or less
  • Follows 100% of the insurance claims for damages to equipment during transportation with the foreign suppliers or the local insurance – whichever applicable.
  • To Establish Accurate Order Points (Max & Min) and Define the Add/Remove from Stock Procedure and monitor Non-Stock Items to be added To Inventory In Accordance With Policies.
  • To Conduct Back-Order Analysis To Determine Reasons For Emergency Purchases.
  • To Maintain Regular Stock Replenishment Process.
  • To Monitor And Control Stores (Perpetual Stock Checks and Counts Process).
  • To Determine, Review And Order Protective Stocks.


Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Qualifications

  • Management or relevant Engineering Degree  
  • Master degree (MBA)  (Desirable)
  • Industry related training courses


Experience
Minimum of 7  years of related experience
