We offer a post of Accounts clerk. Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation. Under this job function the successful candidate will serve as support staff to execute following tasks and responsibilities under the direct supervision and responsibility of the Head of Administration: processing central and/or local payments through the use of specific EU accounting tools/programs, petty cash management, participate in budget management, processing accounts receivable, assets and contracts management, monthly closure procedures and regular reporting to headquarters and/or local management. This job function may be changed in accordance with the needs of the Delegation.
Working environment and conditions
Working hours : 37,5 hours/week (8.00 to 12.00 and 12.30 to 16.00) from Sunday to Thursday
Place of employment: Office of EU Delegation to Sudan, Gamhoria Street, Khartoum
group and starting salary : Group III step 1 = 1.013 EUR, paid 13 times per year. This starting salary is subject for retroactive revision based on the proven pertinent professional experience.

We look for
Education: diploma in accounting/administrative sciences or any other related field is a minimum requirement; a university degree in one or more of these fields constitutes an advantage.
Languages: fluency in English and Arabic; knowledge of other EU languages constitute an advantage
Working experience: minimum of 3 years working experience in accountancy and/or administrative fields; experience in budget management would be an asset.
Knowledge: very good knowledge of commonly used IT programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to use other software especially accounting software.
Skills: self-starter, motivated, ability to work alone and/or in team, ability to deal with stress situations, ability to work under pressure, ability to analyse provided documents and to extract the key elements, ability to determine priorities and to respect deadlines
Minimum physical requirements: long term sitting and using computers for long periods.
