What
As part of Zain SD team you will manage the design, deployment and configuration of technology infrastructure elements in alignment to the business demand, technology architecture and roadmaps.
How
In this role your major tasks and responsibilities will be :-
- Manage the design (HLD and LLD), deployment and configuration of infrastructure elements, including; servers, virtualization, operating systems, data center systems, security systems, cloud services and related tech.equipment
- Participate in the technology business planning cycle through identification of project plans and cost estimates
- Evaluate development requests, scope projects (produce PIP) and maintain development pipeline (project prioritization)
- Participate in demand planning and management committee for feedback on development and project prioritization
- Manage the deployment project life cycle, manage infrastructure development through vendors (in case of out-tasking/outsourcing), assess vendor performance and provide regular reports and feedback to program management governance (PMO) and vendor management
- Lead acceptance tests (unit, platform, integration and operation) and ensure smooth handover to operations
- Provide 3rd level support in coordination with vendors as needed
- Perform capacity upgrades in line with service capacity management guidelines and current capacity status
- Design and implement testing systems that mirror the live environments
- Translate security, disaster recovery and business continuity guidelines in systems design
- Manage the implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity projects
- Participate in the development of RFP scopes/specifications/response assessment in alignment with vendor management and tech architecture
- Design and implement strategic projects (part of the technology roadmap)
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements on Information Security.
What do i need
You will be required to have:-
- BSC in Computer/Telecommunication Engineering or Computer science.
- Previous experience of (2 years minimum) in relevant role.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of IT telecom applications.
- Excellent understanding of business processes and business rules.
- Highly developed communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Strong knowledge in managing, dealing with IT infrastructure elements like storage, backup, operating systems, virtualization,etc.
