What
You will be accountable to the IT Infrastructure Planning Team Leader in providing inputs into the design of capacity and load planning for Zain network and delivering System planning and design for Zain SD IT infrastructure. Ensure IT infrastructure plans and dimensions according to commercial/business requirements and Zain strategy.
How
You will be required to have:
- Manage the design (HLD and LLD), Plan of infrastructure elements, including; servers, virtualization, operating systems, data center systems, security systems, cloud services and related tech. equipment
- Participate in the technology business planning cycle through identification of project plans and cost estimates
- Evaluate development requests, scope projects (produce PIP) and maintain development pipeline (project prioritization)
- Participate in demand planning and management committee for feedback on development and project prioritization
- Manage the Initialization project life cycle, manage infrastructure Plan through vendors (in case of out-tasking/outsourcing), assess vendor performance and provide feedback to program management governance and vendor management (when required).
- Lead Service Design Stage of life cycle, ensure smooth handover to development
- Provide 3rd level support in coordination with vendors as needed
- Perform capacity upgrades in line with service capacity management guidelines and current capacity status
- Design and planning testing systems that mirror the live environments
- Translate security, disaster recovery and business continuity guidelines in systems design
- Plan and Manage the implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity projects
- Participate in the development of RFP scopes/specifications/response assessment in alignment with vendor management and tech architecture
- Design and planning strategic projects (part of the technology roadmap)
- Identify and planning opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in IT infrastructure
- Undertake analysis of IT infrastructure options and associated costs and risks. Provide input into project costs and resource plans and support business case production. Identify issues and risks related to service design and development and lead their resolution as required.
- Conduct gap analysis, and proof of concepts for new IT solutions, as appropriate.
- Engage with business and project stakeholders to identify and obtain agreement on the IT service related functional and non-functional requirements and ensure appropriate prioritization is applied to meet agreed business objectives.
- Deliver effective and efficient IT solutions by coordinating all design activities for Live services to ensure consistency and business focus. Ensure new and changed service design includes consideration of people, process, products and 3rd party suppliers.
What Do I Need:
You will be required to have :
- Professional qualification preferred – B.Sc. in Computer Science /Telecommunications or any relevant degree.
- Minimum 2 years in relevant field.
- Mobile Telecommunications background desirable .
- Should have previous strong track record of success in planning activities in a multi-site, expanding business
