What
As a Technology Architecture Specialist you will generally be responsible for support governing Technology Architecture along with the collection, assessment and routing of Business/Technology-generated Demand to all relevant Technology functional domains and disciplines, and you will be reporting to Technology Architecture Team Leader.
How
You will be required to have:
- Support collecting annual, on-cycle and off-cycle demand from all Business and Technology functions directly and as a resultant of the Strategy and Business Plan.
- Act as primary point of contact between technology and business and manage this relationship.
- Assist Technology Strategy and Business Planning in Technology Strategy revisions and investigation of architectural evolution to meet Business Demand.
- Clarify demand with Business and Technology stakeholders.
- Assess impact of demand on the Technical Architecture and create a Rough Order of Magnitude Provide high-level guidelines for prioritization for demand fulfillment based on inter dependencies and business requirements.
- Support routing demands to relevant Technology Planning/Development functions for detailed assessment, planning and delivery.
- Coordinate providing inputs on developing Group Technology Blueprints as well as manage/govern local blueprint and propose updates where required.
- Keep track of development of standards and assess impact on existing architecture and blueprint.
- Review High Level Design for technology designs to assure inter probability, manageability and adaptability of applications and systems.
- Application Architecture
- Assess impact of business demand on the application architectures and identify the need for new applications.
- Maintain application architecture; define application components and interfaces, ensuring compliance to leading frameworks (e.g. TMF, SOA).
- Support developing road maps and migration strategies for Application Architecture in order to meet business demands and growth.
- Coordinate communicating Application Architecture models and optimization requirements to all functional owners.
- Coordinate Application Architecture design reviews in order to ensure that all applications are inter operable, manageable and adaptable; Assess the gaps between the as-is and to-be Application architectures and define transition strategies for addressing those gaps.
- Contribute to RFP development and assessment of proposals in coordination with functional owners and procurement for new applications.
- Technical Architecture
- Support assisting strategy and business planning in developing the technology strategy that considers multi platforms and plan road maps and migration strategies for Technical Architecture in order to meet business demands and growth.
- Support defining the technology infrastructure modeling and long-term sizing, in alignment with Planning/Development functions.
- Support setting strategies for the implementation of blueprint recommendations in line with capacity requirements and ensure the road map complies with best practice, in support of functional owners.
- Provide technology guidelines, advice on infrastructure products and guidance on the selection of technology to provide consistent, effective and secure technological solutions enterprise wide.
- Coordinate communicating Technical Architecture models and optimization requirements to all general directorates in the IT department.
- Contribute to the design and audit of RFP preparation and evaluation in coordination with vendor management, procurement and in support of the functional owners.
- You will be asked to undertake any additional relevant tasks/activities as delegated by the Technology department.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements on Information Security.
What do i need
You will be required to have :
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications, computer science or MIS.
- Background in technology planning and development or operations and architecture development.
- Business requirement analysis capabilities.
- Industry certifications (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL) preferable.
- Experience in application frameworks (business apps, DB tech, security).
- Background in tech. costing.
- Minimum 2 years of total experience in telecom or relevant field.
