Position summery:
The Public Relations Manager job is a mid-level management role for someone with 6-8 years of experience in the field. PR manager is expected to create and maintain a favourable public image for DAL Food by communicating programs, accomplishments and/or points of view. PR manager is responsible for DAL Food relation with the government agencies, NGOs, banks and communities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop PR strategy for DAL Food in line with the company’s overall strategy, principles, mission and vision.
- Translate PR strategy into concrete programs and activities.
- Prepare budget for PR activities
- Pitch stories to the media and organize press conferences in collaboration with the Media Manager
- Write speeches for DF leaders
- Create strategy to mitigate negative publicity and handle crisis
- Build long term relations with government agencies to facilitate DF business
- Maintain good relation with NGOs concerned with issues related to DF business
- Handle all DF non business related issues with all external stakeholders
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in related field of study or equivalent working experience.
- 6-8 years of experience in the field with similar organization.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Must have in-depth knowledge of Sudanese social, political and government systems
- Must be a confident communicator and presenter in Arabic and English
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
- Possess the ability to keep information confidential
- Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
- Ability to work in high-stress environments, often for long hours
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Self motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
