Job Summary:
• Collects and analyses data related to social media campaigns. Assists MTN Sudan in identifying appropriate social media channels for specific business needs, and tailors campaigns to the target audience. Tracks performance of various social media initiatives and develops/implements changes to improve business results..
Description:
Reporting and analysis:
1. Provide reports to ensure that internal teams are able to understand all elements of social media performance:
a. Deliver monthly social media (MTN Sudan social media profiles) KPI reports including implications and recommendations for optimisation.
b. Work with social media team to analyse and report on the effectiveness of MTN social media activities.
c. Deliver ad hoc performance reports.
d. Develop reporting formats to ensure they are easy to ready and engaging.
2. Analyse digital data from a number of sources to ensure that performance data is available to MTN Sudan and social media team for all social media platforms.
a. Online marketing analysis - carry out traffic analysis using a number of different data sources (data from SEO, social media monitoring tools and media agency data) to inform the social media team on which channels are working and recommendations to improve social media targeting.
b. Carry out other ad hoc analysis as required e.g. for individual marketing campaigns
c. Evaluate and report on the impact of changes / new initiatives across digital platforms
d. Communicate analysis to stakeholders within the digital division ensuring they understand the findings, and take part in discussions about implications and next steps.
Technical analytics:
3. Maintain the analytics software in the back end, making sure data is coming through correctly
4. Make sure all social media activity is tracked correctly via trackable links
5. Set up events to track activity in analytics software
6. Set up tracking for any MTN campaign activity taking place
Strategy:
7. Contribute to digital analytics strategy, developing and communicating best practices for social media metrics and delivering initiatives that maximise performance.
8. Contribute to strategy for the social media platforms via analytics knowledge, insights and expertise.
Digital knowledge and awareness:
9. Monitor other sources of digital / social media intelligence (e.g. trends, analysis innovations, industry best practice) to continually improve our understanding and ensure internal stakeholders are abreast of wider digital developments.
10. Provide recommendations about improvements/enhancements to tracking capabilities across current platforms to deliver greater depth of understanding
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in computer science, or any relevant field. Post-graduation in the related subject is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years social media listening experience.
