Job Summary:
Maximizing the revenue potential of a delegated portfolio of existing MTN Broadband Services and to develop profitable new Broadband products and services from concept through to product launch.
Description:
- Plan, Rollout, Manage product and services (Messaging, Broadband and Business solution units) roadmap in line with annual and long-term marketing strategy that should deliver business objectives in terms of revenue, unique users, differentiation, unique selling points and competitive edge.
- Enhance revenue by increasing usage from/ various segments in the market and customer base.
- Work with different stakeholder-departments to develop and ensure full feasibility of all projects in order to define and implement the desired functionality to target different segments.
- Work with Communications and PR departments to define a promotion plan and communications strategy (product marketing budget, positioning, marketing creative, channel mix etc.).
- Ensure pricing and commercial models are based on price elasticity & profitability studies to deliver desired return on investment and profitability in line with business plan and commercial plans.
- Ensure all key processes are defined and kept updated while at the same time ensure strict adherence to the same. Continuously implement best practices in the respective area.
- Supervise the Broadband function and develop unique portfolio that generate maximum revenue and differentiate MTN from Competition in line with the company strategic initiatives and objectives.
- Support Business plan & Corporate Strategy by recommending & driving expansion, innovation, differentiation in product portfolio.
- Summarize Data analysis with regards to Broadband P&S.
- Follow up with a rigid and sound process in terms of Product Launch and Management (PLM).
- Ensure planning and implementation of the complete products development processes and systems.
- Ensure complete monitoring of the competition activities in terms of Broadband P&S and to ensure competitive edge over them.
- Manage Vendors/Partners to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Monitor market for the latest development in technology, competition, consumer usage and uptake trends, regulatory changes, etc. and identify the impact and/or application of such development on product strategy.
- Manage data on customer segmentation and profiling based on internal and external quantitative/qualitative research and reports from internal systems like Billing system, IN Platform, Switch, SMSC, CRM etc to manage profitability of products portfolio.
- Preparation of reports for all products & services and having competitive insight over competitive actions done by other operators and the preparation of reports around that and find suitable resolutions for current expected competition activities.Work Closely with Engineering, IT, Finance, Customer Care & Sales departments in the performance of a full feasibility study in order to define and communicate the methodology by which the agreed functional requirements shall be delivered.

- Provide properly assessed awareness and communication requirements and then work with communication team, direct and indirect channels to ensure such requirements are met on time and the successfulness of the launching and or the reminding campaigns and monitor its presence in the market.
- Perform frequent research to understand price elasticity of products within target segments and to the new products and services that shall be introduced to the market.
- Participate in MTN groups’ initiative and attending related conference calls and meetings and provide the group with required queries of MTN Sudan data performance.
- Coordinate with Consumer marketing for develop a pricing strategy to the new products and services in accordance to the overall company revenue plan, competition, and market acceptance.
- Build strong and capable function and team and ensure to create a team work environment and problem handlings.
- Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
- Undertake other relevant duties/responsibilities as delegated by CMO.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business (MBA degree is a plus & Engineering background is an addition).
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in products and services of with minimum 3 years in the telecom sector in a manager or senior manager position.
- In depth knowledge of managing / developing multiple products services.
- Managerial level of strategic planning through contributing to development of annual marketing plan and development of marketing strategies, policies and processes.
